Its first ever RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

Radio Nacional issues Ethics Code

At a ceremony held in the Auditorium of Radio Nacional in Buenos Aires City and in the presence of the chair of Radio y Televisión Argentina Rosario Lufrano, the Director of Radio Nacional Argentina Alejandro Pont Lezica, the Director of Radio y Televisión Argentina Cinthya Ottaviano, the Director of Public TV Claudio Martinez and the heads of Radio Nacional stations from all over the country, the Public Radio presented its first Code of Ethics in 85 years of history.

8 months of free, open and pluralistic discussions with workers from 50 radio stations across the country.

12 panels on various topics and 40 experts consulted.

It was eight months of collective work between public media workers, representatives from the academic, trade union, cultural and professional fields, and communication specialists.

After a long process of meetings and roundtable discussions, a document was issued highlighting the work of communication from a Human Rights perspective.

Radio Nacional thus issues a Code of Ethics and assumes a Charter of Commitment, acknowledging that is key for public radio to preserve, defend and stress its federal character, while promoting democratic values through its 50 stations.
