Cyberbullying on kids: Argentina ranks second in Latin America

Two out of four cases of school abuse are manifested through digital platforms and so far this year 6,000 complaints of child cyberbullying have been made in Argentina.

This is according to a study by the International Center for the Promotion of Human Rights, o the UN's cultural organization, UNESCO.

The study conducted between September 1 and October 1 includes official statistics from the Ministry of Justice on cybercrime and crosses data from national and international agencies involved in the fight against virtual harassment.

Research was also conducted via telephone on families with children between 5 and 15 years old, primary and secondary school teachers.

These data show that Argentina ranks second in Latin America, only behind Mexico, followed by Honduras, Costa Rica and Chile.
