Argentine companies showcased their products at the largest food fair in China: the SIAL, which took place in Shanghai.

The Argentine Foreign Ministry coordinated the participation of 14 companies from the provinces of Mendoza, Entre Ríos, Salta, Córdoba, and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.

Among them were Conarpesa Pesca, Granja Tres Arroyos, Bodega Raffy SRL, JTF Ganadera SRL, from the fishing, livestock and wine sectors, among others.

Guillermo Merediz, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led the delegation that traveled to SIAL.

In this context, he said: "this participation shows Argentina's capacity to contribute to global food security".

China is the second destination for Argentine exports, after the European Union, and food is the main product.

The main commodity that Argentina sells to the Asian giant is soya beans, followed by beef.
