Malvinas War Soldiers RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

Final phase of remains identification

Argentina begins the final stage of the identification of the remains of Argentine soldiers buried in the Darwin cemetery in Malvinas.

The Ministry of Justice approved funding for phase 3 of the Plan, which began in 2017, following an agreement between Argentina, the United Kingdom and the International Red Cross.

The programme is being carried out by the prestigious Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team.

It was able to identify 116 of the 122 bodies that were buried in Malvinas with the inscription "Argentine soldier known only to God".

Phase 3 is for the six that have not yet been identified.

The budget is 250,000 dollars, according to official sources.
