Biotechnology and Green Energies RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

Argentina and India joint call for projects

Argentina and India have launched a joint call for biotechnology and energy transition projects.

This was agreed in February, during the visit to the Asian country of the Argentinean Minister of Science, Daniel Filmus.

Filmus welcomed the "strengthening of cooperation with India in science and technology in general, and in biotechnology and energy transition in particular".

As of 30 April, 94 bids had been received from all over Argentina: 62 in biotechnology and 32 in energy transition.

The four winning projects will be announced in August.

The Ministry will fund each Argentine research group with 10,000 dollars per project per year.

According to official sources, the aim of the programme is to support the development of scientific and technological cooperation between Argentine and Indian researchers.
