Malvinas Sovereignty RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

Argentina condemns British military action

The Argentine government condemned a series of military actions that the United Kingdom carried out recently in Malvinas.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry regretted that the exercises are in contradiction of UN resolutions calling on the resumption of talks to solve the dispute.

For Buenos Aires, this also violates a UN resolution that declares the Atlantic South as a peace and cooperation area.

This was the official reaction of Argentina to an exercise named "Cape Bayonet" that international media informed about a few days back.

According to the communiqué, the British attitude is in stark contrast with Argentina’s willingness to resolve the dispute by peaceful means.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defence decided to shut down a radar located in Tierra del Fuego.

The device belongs to Anglo-American company Leo Labs.

According to federal authorities, the sensor’s activities could harm Argentine interests in the Malvinas issue.

The Minister of Defence Jorge Taiana Taiana questioned the TDF government for granting the concession without taking into account the sovereignty matter.
