The Argentine government protested against the activities of the Israeli oil company Navitas Petroleum in the Malvinas.

In a communiqué, the Foreign Ministry condemned the firm for "operating illegitimately in Argentine territory".

For not requesting a permit from the competent authorities, the company was barred for 20 years from carrying out activities on Argentina’s soil.

The Foreign Ministry informed that Navitas had already been warned repeatedly since 2020 through the Argentine Embassy in Israel.

The official message again condemns any kind of exploration or exploitation of natural resources carried out unilaterally by the United Kingdom.

Such actions are contrary to UN Resolution 31/49, recalls Buenos Aires.
