FIFA The Best Awards RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

Argentina wins best player, coach, goalkeeper and fans

Argentina won in all four categories for which it competed in the FIFA The Best awards.

First, Emiliano "Dibu" Martínez won the award for the best goalkeeper in the world in 2022.

Then, Argentina's national team coach, Lionel Scaloni, kept the coach of the year category.

 

 

Scaloni beat Spain 's Pep Guardiola, who manages Manchester City, and Italy' s Carlo Ancelotti, of Real Madrid.

Argentina was also recognized for having the best fans in the world.

The trophy was received on behalf of the Argentine fans by "Tula Bombo", who has been rooting for the Albiceleste in every World Cup since 1974.

And finally, the best player award went to the captain of the world champion team , Lionel Messi, who competed against Frenchmen Kylian Mbappé and Karim Benzemá.

Meanwhile, the Argentine Football Association confirmed on Monday that Scaloni will continue as Argentina's coach until the next World Cup in 2026.
