Argentine-Israeli child first birthday today RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

Buenos Aires rally demands release of Hamas-held baby

Hundreds of people gathered yesterday in Buenos Aires to demand the release of the Argentine-Israeli baby kidnapped by Hamas.

It was under the slogan "no happy birthday", a day before little Kfir Bibas turns one year old.

The child has been held hostage by the Islamist militia since last October.

Several of Kfir's relatives participated in the event in which a crowd raised Argentine and Israeli flags, as well as orange balloons.

The baby's aunt, Sandra Miasnik, told the press that they were coming together "in one voice to ask that all the kidnapped people be returned alive to their families".

And she sent her nephew a message: "I am part of your big family waiting for you in Buenos Aires, the city where your grandfather José Luis was born".

Kfir was kidnapped together with his parents during the attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz, in southern Israel.
