Colombia's president condemns Russian attack

Colombian President Gustavo Petro has condemned a Russian attack in which three Colombian citizens in Ukraine were injured.

In a televised message, he said: "Russia has attacked three defenceless Colombian civilians. That violates the protocols of war".

He also warned that the Foreign Ministry would deliver a diplomatic note of protest to Moscow.

Mr Petro was reacting to a Russian raid in Kramatorsk in eastern Ukraine that left at least three dead and more than 20 wounded.

Among the injured are three Colombian citizens: writer Héctor Abad Faciolince, journalist Catalina Gómez and a diplomat, Sergio Jaramillo.
