-PAB Preparing for Jesus is a new service broadcasting on Saturdays via the Tashkent relay center on 13580 kHz between 1300 and 1400 UTC. The station operates with 100 kws and programs are in Japanese.

-IBRA MEDIA operates its shortwave service known as Radio Ibrahim, in Bengali language on 9390 kHz, via RRTM Telecom in Tashkent, from 1500-1530 UTC with 100 kW.

-Voice of Freedom has always been a difficult station to listen to on shortwave. Now, it is possible to pick up on 5920 kHz via Hwaseong, South Korea from 10:00 UTC with 10 kW from transmitters in Hawaii.

-The clandestine station Radio Iran International on 15629.8 kHz via RRTM Telecom Tashkent, from 06 UTC with 100 kws. The station can also be picked up on 15629.8. Transmissions are in Farsi language. Even this station was picked up at different times of the day, starting at 06 UTC on the frequency of 12019.8 kHz.

-BRB Living Water Ministry on 7515 kHz via KTWR Agana, Guam from 1516-1616 UTC on 7515 kHz with 200 KW in Korean language for Northeast Africa.

-Radio Dap Loi Song Nui DLSN is also known as Vietnam Democracy Radio and is an underground station broadcasting on 9670 kHz via Paochung, Taiwan on a daily basis from 1230-1300 on 9670 with 100 kW in Vietnamese.

-The clandestine station for the troubled Tigray region in Ethiopia, known as Radio Tigray Media House via TDF Issoudun, operates Mondays from 1600-1700 on 17750, with 250 kW for East Africa in Tigrinya language. Radio Tigray Media House, now using the 17550 khz frequency, has abandoned the previous frequency of 17870.

-There was another frequency change regarding a station also broadcasting to the Tigray region of Ethiopia. This is Dimtse Woyane Tigray via TDF Issoudun, on Tuesdays from 1500-1600 UTC on the new frequency of 17750 khz with 250 kW on Tigrinya.

-A new station operating from the NEXUS IRRS transmitter center on Thursdays. This is Kashmir Civitas, 1500-1530 UTC on 15170 khz. Language: Urdu.

Let's move on to other news from the shortwave world. The first one is very sad, it originates in Cuba and refers to the death of one of the most beloved and respected voices of shortwave radio.

Workers of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT) informed on their social media about the death of Cuban broadcaster Manolo de la Rosa last Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 78 years of age.

Since the early 60's he began his work in Isla de Pinos, and in the radio station of that region: "La Voz de Isla de Pinos", currently CMBY Radio Caribe, as announcer and scriptwriter. There he met the woman who would become his wife and colleague for many years, Malena Negrín Iser, also a broadcaster.

Once in Havana, he continued to work tirelessly as a broadcaster until he gained some notoriety in a show called Listo Estudio, providing VO for documentaries, films, cartoons and as a presenter for NTV.

In 1983 he and Malena were chosen to represent Cuba in the shortwave broadcasts of Radio Moscow, a role that made him famous across Latin America. In Russia, in addition to his work as a broadcaster, he wrote, hosted and produced three programs for Latin America and the Caribbean.

When he returned home, he continued his work at Radio Habana Cuba, starting in 1994.

Ten public broadcasters are set to change the way Europeans consume news, using cutting-edge online tools to overcome language barriers and share diverse content from across the continent.

Guided by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the broadcasters are launching 'A European Perspective', a collaborative news service that allows audiences to access reliable content from other countries, accessible through their homepages.

Its content will be strongly rooted in core European values such as respect for human dignity, equality, inclusion and the rule of law.

Through this initiative, EBU members from Germany (BR/ARD), Belgium (RTBF), Spain (RTVE), Finland (YLE), France (France Télévisions), Ireland (RTÉ), Italy (RAI), Portugal (RTP) and Switzerland (SWI swissinfo.ch), as well as ARTE, the Franco-German broadcaster are coming together.

The benefits will be felt immediately. For example, someone visiting francetvinfo.fr will be able to see the French translation of a news item just published by the Finnish public broadcaster, YLE, without having to leave the francetvinfo.fr website.
