The National Weather Service confirmed on Sunday that the "El Niño" phenomenon has arrived in Argentina.

The entity ratified that the conditions of the event related to the warming of the eastern Pacific Ocean are now present in the country.

According to a report, in the last two weeks "the temperature of the Pacific remained above its threshold and the atmosphere began to respond to this".

According to this source, there is a 99 percent chance that these conditions will continue through November.

The main consequences of El Niño in Argentina will be a spring with higher rainfall levels, especially in the center and north of the country.
