"Inseparable partners" - Minister Massa in Brasilia

Argentina's Minister of Economy Sergio Massa was received in Brasilia by President Lula da Silva.

In this context, he assured that the South American countries are "inseparable partners".

At a press conference, he ratified that the Andean Development Corporation will guarantee bilateral trade operations between the largest MERCOSUR partners.

The entity will back transactions with 600 million dollars, to help preserve the foreign currency reserves of the Argentine Central Bank.

The minister also thanked the Brazilian president for his support for Argentina's entry into the BRICS bloc, which took place last week.

The South American nations - Massa pointed out - are owners of "almost 20% of the proteins consumed by the world".
