Libertarian Milei reasserts anti abortion stance

The most voted candidate in Sunday's primaries, libertarian Javier Milei, reiterated his opposition to abortion.

In an interview, he promised that -if he wins the presidency- he will promote a referendum to repeal the law that enabled the interruption of pregnancy.

The candidate of the "La Libertad Avanza" party declared that this "is not an earned right".

And added: "if Argentines believe in the murder of a defenseless human being in the mother's womb.. It remains to be seen".

The norm that decriminalized the practice in Argentina was approved by Congress in December 2020.
