Milei says he could not recognize elections result

Candidate Javier Milei warned he might not recognize the result of the November 19 runoff.

In line with what Donald Trump did in the US and Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil, Milei and his followers have been questioning the legitimacy of the elections.

According to the libertarian, both in the primaries of August 13 and in the first round of October 22 there were "irregularities" and even "fraud".

But these accusations were strongly denied by the Electoral Justice, which defended the transparency of the system.

Milei will face pro-government candidate Sergio Massa, current Minister of Economy.

This Sunday, a week before the elections, the hopefuls will debate at the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires.
