WEEK 16 RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

New Argentina sounds

Garamona

Calles sin gente ("Streets without people")

Francisco Garamona is a very particular musician: he also works as a writer, bookseller and book publisher. He has been running the Mansalva publishing house for 15 years. This is perhaps one way to understand ( if necessary ) a musical career that began back in 2012 with album "Las armas dulces". Songs full of tender and precise images like the ones populating "Calles sin gente" one of the tracks of his recent release: "Hemisferio aparte" (2021).

Ine Maguire

Cuantas veces más (How many more times)

Ine Maguire is a 31-year old singer and songwriter from Buenos Aires City. She is inspired by poetry, astrology, tarot and friendship to write beautiful songs she's been releasing since 2017 when she made her debut with her album "Irme". Mutating nowadays towards colors closer to pop music "Cuantas veces más" is a good example of his current search. It's a single from 2021 that delicately runs through a structure containing elements of American music from the fifties but with current production. Notice the very careful production of the vocal harmonies.

"Live " ( volume 1 ) is the new release by the very talented group from Mendoza "Mi Amigo Invencible" . A session recorded in pandemic times that shows the light and etheric sound of the band. Despite the youth of the members they have a prolific discography of which 2019's "Dutsiland" is the latest release. They have played in very important festivals such as Lollapalooza and are one of the most ambitious bands in the country at the moment, with an aesthetic quest that exceeds the merely musical aspect. Singer and guitarist Mariano di Cesare also releases music as a solo artist under the name El príncipe idiota.
