The Organisation of American States on Friday adopted a resolution on the Malvinas question.

In the framework of the 53rd session of its General Assembly, the OAS urged the United Kingdom to resume dialogue on the sovereignty of the islands.

Buenos Aires sent as representative the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Pablo Tettamanti, who expressed his gratitude for the support for the demand for negotiations.

In the framework of the assembly in Washington, the Argentine jurist Andra Pochak was also appointed as member of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.
