More wins for Urban Music RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

Rapper Trueno wins Golden Gardel Award

The Gardel Awards, the most important award in Argentine music, were carried out on Tuesday.

The top winner was rapper Trueno, who won the most important statuette: the Gardel de Oro, for his latest album "Bien o Mal".

The ceremony of the 25th edition of the Awards took place at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires.

Trueno also won in the Recording of the Year category for the song "Argentina" with Nathy Peluso.

Also for Best Urban Music Album and Best Collaboration for his participation in the song "Sudaka" by Dante Spinetta.

Spinetta, in fact, was another big winner of the night, for his album "Mesa Dulce".

It is worth mentioning that Dante was a pioneer in the introduction of rap and hip hop in Argentina in the 90s, with his band Illya Kuryaki and The Valderramas.

That's why Trueno praised him as "one of the best mentors of hip-hop in Argentina".

Other award winners last night included singer Tini Stoessel, veteran rocker David Lebón and the band Eruca Sativa, among others.

Internationally acclaimed producer Bizarrap won for "Best Urban Song", while Julieta Lasso won two statuettes in the tango genre.
