Half of Argentina's provinces had temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius this week, record highs for the winter.

According to the National Weather Service, this threshold was exceeded in Santa Fe, Chaco, Formosa, Córdoba, Jujuy, Corrientes, La Rioja and Salta.

Also in Catamarca, Santiago del Estero, Entre Ríos, San Luis, the province of Buenos Aires and the city of Buenos Aires.

The highest temperature yesterday, according to the same source, was recorded in the town of Rivadavia in Salta, with 38 degrees.
