Assassination attempt on CFK RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

Suspects sent to trial

Vice-president CFK rejected the decision of the prosecutor's office to close the investigation into the assassination attempt against her on 1 September.

The former president said that they want her "in jail or dead", following the ruling by prosecutor Carlos Rívolo, who sent the three suspects for the failed assassination to trial.

For the former president, the judiciary did not delve into the possible political connections of the attack.

Thus, Brenda Uliarte, Fernando Sabag Montiel and Gabriel Nicolás Carrizo were the only people charged in the case.

Sabag Montiel is accused of triggering a gun on the VP’s face in front of TV cameras, without firing the shot.

The other two suspects are accused of participating in the planning of the attack.

But CFK and her defense argue that behind them was a wider network, including political groups and even some opposition leaders.
